A dialouge between
science and labour relationship
“Kooperationsstelle Tübingen” forms a bracket between current research and operational reality in Baden-Württemberg, especially in the Tübingen-Stuttgart region. It creates meeting spaces between researchers, trade unionists and active employees for a dialogue at eye level.
The digital transformation is changing our living and working environment fundamentally and at a rapid pace. It is not limited to the use of new technologies. They create new working and production methods and new business models. Entire branches of industry and branches are in a state of upheaval. We are dealing with a social upheaval that is being developed and driven by people. We want to understand the people who shape the change and work together on a humane working environment. This also includes targeting the perspective of developers, who are the main drivers of digital change. They are the designers of our new digital living and working environment.
01
Requirements
“Kooperationsstelle Tübingen” ia a new association and needs corporate identity including a logo. The corporate design should be designed in an appealing way for the target group and at the same time set itself apart from the image of a “conservative union attitude”. As a second step a simple website and social media campaign should reach out and inform the target group.

Problem Statement
»Techworkers are not yet a target group of the unions but if the unions
want to exist in the future they need to be a part.«
02
Challenge & Goal
Issue & Problem
- Academics often think that they can
represent theyself infront of their employers
and don´t need an union - lack of knowledge of union work
(do unions also stand up for the interests of engineers/academics/tech workers?) - old-fashioned image about unions
(old-fashioned/ conservative/ nothing for academics) - Advantages of unions are unknown (decisions about career development/ qualification development/
Further development in operation)
Goal:
The goal is an interface between Science/Techwork and Unions to create. Technically Highly qualified / academics the topic trade unions and their benefits to be brought. The basic requirement for this is a visual one Visibility through a corporate design (Logo and a design concept) and site.
03
Research
My research was mainly about the topic in general, the audience, goals, mission, values and enviroment and partners. User testing was not included in this project but will considered in the future.
Defining goals
- To inspire techworker especially in Tübingen for trade unions (vision)
- Pimp union image
- Inform techworkers and academics of the benefits of. aunion
- Raise and breakup: Trippy-trashy design, clashing with the style, set apart from conservative design of the institutes and science. Creating a new union movement.

Politics
»Man as creator and shaper of digitization.«
Mission and values
The “Kooperationsstelle Tübingen” is a newly founded initiative that tries to encourage and network tech workers, especially in Tübingen, for trade unions. This initiative is committed to the interface between science and trade unions and should thus gain more public importance. We are convinced that a new appealing image for unions must be developed in order to appeal to young engineers/tech workers in particular and to encourage them to participate and contribute. Techworkers are not yet a target group for unions, but they must become so if unions are to exist in the future.

- this is where it comes from
what at high speed - excited and hyper, super hyper, workaholic, producer pride
- Design should have nothing to do with the conservative /
“old-fashioned” image of unions

Conceptual Content
After surveying the different users, it became clear that the target groups need separate areas on the website in order to be able to access the project at all. The challenge lies in picking up the three completely different target groups at different levels, e.g. a woman who speaks almost no German, who would like to register for the tandem project, or a potential sponsor who expects professionalism and facts and figures. The website should offer equal access to the three different target groups: newcomers, locals and sponsors.

Responsive Webdeisgn
The Webdesign is also responsive and works on all devices. This is especially important for the audience. All social media channels are connected, so the website has to be reached from all devices. New events and lectures are easier accesable for students.
