Design is Changing the World

My name is Leen and I have been living in Germany for five years. I studied medicine in my home country (Syria), but here in Germany, I decided to pursue a degree in medical engineering. I believe that the future lies in technology and I want to contribute to it.

I speak four languages and I am very proficient in using computers. In my free time, I help others – especially children and migrants – and I am always eager to learn something new. My dream is to deepen my design skills to create websites and logos and master Photoshop. I am convinced that designers can convey messages and improve the flow of information, which contributes to the quality of life and a better society.

I am currently volunteering and teaching children math, Arabic, religion, and ethics. I am inspired by people who do not give up despite difficult circumstances and take control of their lives. I have never had negative experiences in Germany, but sometimes misunderstandings arise due to the multicultural society. From my perspective, communication and participation are important factors for a successful integration process.

I firmly believe that design and technology can change the world. My goal is to use my knowledge and skills to contribute to improving the world. I dream of a peaceful world and a beautiful future for all people.
